Grove Park Inn

The inn is situated on a hillside above Asheville with the parking lot and entrance above the Inn and the gardens and spectacular view of the city spread out below.
Walk in fireplace
We just strolled into the enormous lobby with two walk-in fireplaces (large enough for a few tree trunks), ordered a cup of coffee and wandered around for an hour or so. We took in the view and watched the fellow tending the fire. Met a n Alabama transplant working in the lobby and just acted like we belonged there.
