Paul and Elizabeth came to spend the post July 4th weekend in Tellico Village and though their visit was short, we crammed a lot of quality adventuring into our available time.
After a late arrival on Friday and hours of catching up on the news, kayaking was the first order of business on Saturday. It was warm and muggy as our heat wave continued and the intrepid kayakers didn’t last long before they were ready to move on to a less strenuous activity.
Cruising down the lake under the iron jib was a bit less strenuous and afforded some great views of the area. The Bimini made the cockpit feel 20 degrees cooler as we planned our next stop.
Lunch at Tanasi was the agreed upon destination and Elizabeth led the way once we were tied up.
After lunch, a trip to Tic-Tock Ice cream in Loudon was necessary to finish off the meal. Back home, Mary and Elizabeth examined the garden for ripe tomatoes and peppers (no such luck.)
Sunday morning after the cranberry pancakes, Paul and I got in some jamming before they had to hit the road.
I wish we had had more time but Paul and Elizabeth needed to get on the road for the 300 mile trip home, Mary and I are already wishing they would come back. Great visit, too short.
It looks like you all had a fun time! Let me know if you’re in Todd and want her dropped off for a visit. 🙂
