Tellico Village is pretty heavily wooded and as fall settles in, we are beginning to see more of our local birds around the feeder. Later we’ll see more migrating birds as they head South for the Winter.
This little guy is one of about 5 Hairy Woodpeckers hanging around for a shot at a midday snack of hot pepper suet.
We also have a pair of Downy Woodpeckers and a pair of Red Bellied woodpeckers as well.
If we can just keep the squirrels away, we’ll have some great birdwatching this winter.
