We arrived in Todd a few days before the family homecoming on October 1 to help Betsy & John get the home place ready for the anticipated crowd.
Mary & Betsy got started removing the summer’s dust and arranging the furnishings just so.
John and Richard went hiking up the hill to track down a water problem at the spring box.
Saturday morning was blustery and cold with snow flurries but the diehards began arriving by mid-morning and by noon we had about 45 brave souls gathered at the farmhouse for lots of good food and family fellowship.
The parlor was filled as usual and the telling of family tales past and present kept everyone smiling and chuckling at the memories.
The overflow from the parlor filled the living room and the kitchen with some brave folks venturing outside by the creek.
As usual, everyone had a great time and headed home with thoughts of doing it again next year.
