Finally, a warm day without rain.
Jim Hatchell limped over to the Norman household and we changed the water pump, lower end gear oil and spark plugs.
It went well and other than a bit of beginner’s jitters, without significant incident. The engine ran a bit rough before changing the plugs so we cleaned the fuel bowl filter as well. She ran a bit ragged but settled dowm after blowing out the fuel system scum ( hadn’t been run for over a year ).
I may see about adding a power tilt/trim to this motor instead of springing for the $4000+ for a new motor.
